I had an amazing experience with the warm and friendly Nyoman, Putu, and their family from start to finish. I felt incredibly welcomed into their home. The cooking lesson was very hands-on, and the dishes we made were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this activity to anyone looking to experience Bali’s culture in a unique way.

I learned so much about Balinese cuisine, which has greatly enhanced my knowledge as a chef. I also had the chance to learn a lot from the family. Despite the language barrier, they were incredibly welcoming, and we gained valuable insights into the culture and daily life in Bali. Although the tour provider didn’t advertise direct hotel pickup, our guide made it a point to pick us up personally, which was a nice surprise. He also went out of his way to fulfill my personal request to visit a tofu factory, even though it wasn’t the easiest or most typical thing for him to do. Without a doubt, this was not just a holiday highlight but a day I’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend booking this trip (yes, exactly this one, with these wonderful people), and I promise you’ll be just as impressed as I was. In the end, all I can say is that it was incredibly delicious and authentic!

We had a wonderful day with Putu, our guide, who took us to many fascinating places on the way to his family’s home. We saw so much more of Bali than we expected from this tour, which was a lovely surprise for both my Mum and me. Upon arriving at Putu’s family home, we were warmly greeted by his family, who had prepared ingredients for us to cook. We made several dishes together in a peaceful and relaxed setting, and I honestly didn’t want to leave! Putu’s brother was incredibly knowledgeable and showed us around, including their rice fields, cattle, and chickens. As travelers from Australia, this was an extra special experience, as we felt we were truly immersed in authentic Balinese culture. I would highly recommend this tour without hesitation. Putu was not only informative but also great company throughout the drive, and we really enjoyed the Luwak coffee tasting. Thank you, Putu and your family, for a memorable day we’ll never forget.
