I was informed that my pick-up would be at 6:30 AM, but the vehicle did not arrive until almost 8:00 PM. I attempted to contact the provided mobile number multiple times but was unsuccessful. Despite this initial issue, the remainder of the trip was absolutely wonderful. A special thanks to our guide, Lala!

Our tour guide was very helpful and had a good command of English. The weather was overcast, so it wasn't the ideal season for visibility, but the scenery was still genuinely beautiful. I would strongly advise wearing shoes with excellent grip as the paths can be quite slippery. The sleeper bus was comfortable, although the driving felt a bit hurried at times. The hotel was excellent and arguably the best three-star accommodation I have experienced.

Our experience began quite poorly, as we waited in the hotel lobby for approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. After numerous attempts to call and text, we were finally told that our pickup was imminent. The minibus that arrived did not have sufficient seating, so two passengers were forced to stand during the drive through Hanoi to reach the main sleeper bus. The staff member handling the pickup was notably rude and even made an insulting remark to my wife, unaware that she is fluent in Vietnamese. Fortunately, the situation improved dramatically after this. The sleeper bus was modern and very comfortable, with an adequate number of breaks during the journey. Visiting Sapa itself was a fantastic decision; the combination of breathtaking scenery and hiking made the trip unforgettable for us.

The only aspect I would alter is the hotel choice. While the Vista Hotel might suit its star rating, I would not stay there again. The cleaning standards were generally low, and my room was particularly affected. Its location on a busy street also meant a significant amount of noise was audible. Furthermore, the food was quite average in quality.
